A huge dream of my daughter has been to attend Tuacahn. If you have had the honor of visiting the Tuacahn Theater than this is an experience that you MUST include in any plans to Utah. Why?

Well, have you ever been to an outdoor theater in the middle of a red rock canyon? Have you seen the incredible scenery of a musical or great stage play with people that come from everywhere to be part of?

If not, then you have to add this to your list of 100 things I must do before I die. Yeah, it's that good.

This reknowned Theater has adopted and created a remarkable school right on it's premises. It is the Official Tuacahn High School. Here a premier group of children get the opportunity to explore their dreams, develop their talents, and create life long memories that very few have the gift of acquiring in their life time.

Not everyone can do this. Most could never participate in such a school. But Utah, as a State, has created the unique ability for their own to attend. This is what is known as a Charter School.

Being a Charter School, any child that wishes to attend, with family that can afford to relocate to allow this incredible opportunity, find work to live and allow the child to accel and stay attending, can go. But the school is limited in its numbers. Very limited.

Why is this so important to my daughter? Because she has loved and has had a love for music her entire life. She is naturally gifted in dance. She has been developing her voice and is working with a private music club as we speak and doing amazing things! And she has had more fun being in school plays than anything. She is a performer.

My daughter deserves to follow her dreams. As every child does. But this one, she is mine and her dreams are precious not only to her, but to me. She has been through so much and still stands as an example of how to 'be', if you know what I mean. I am so proud of her!

I also know how hard or next to impossible it can be, feel, or look to most. Even us. So our goal as a family is to make this happen.

We missed her 1st year there already because we couldn't put all the pieces together, but we are working so hard to find the right things to make it happen for the rest of her High School.

This can be a daunting accomplishment as we are not wealthy by any means. (working on that one, ;) )St. George is not cheap to live in. And with a family the size we have, well, let's just say, it limits our options in reasonable price ranges.

I am searching now for housing for my family of 6 kids at home right now and possibly 7 if my son finishes his logging (yeah!).

We lost out on this entire semester at the Tuacahn High School because we couldn't find 'reality' in housing there to save our lives and jobs needed to follow.

What I am finding is, that St. George is a pretty pricey place to live. I mean where else can you say that it's a nice 'starter' home for almost $300,000 in Utah? Holy Moly!

Note to self: Increase online revenues to get to Tuacahn Avenue...And/Or find that 'gem' in the red rock just for us...okay, 'and' works for me.

And thank, but no...If I want crab, I'll have it for dinner, not hang in a bucket of them trying to keep me in....I have better things to do and places to go. So to all of you that have been crabs in a bucket in my life...there's a reason you don't have a lid on you...why? Because you'll make sure that no one else in your bucket gets out, you just keep pulling them back in...Crabs are funny that way. But I realized something....not a crab - 'I' am not a crab! So 'I' am outta here'!!!!!!!!

Do you know crab people? Have you attempted to better yourself only to have family and friends to discourage you? Watch out for the crab syndrome.
